Upgrade StorageAnnotation tags missing in “Create Note from Annotations”
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing exactly the same issue that was mentioned a few years ago — and it still seems to persist in Zotero 7.0.27.
I’d like to extract all annotations (including their tags) from a collection into one master note.
However, the “Create Note from Annotations” feature ignores annotation tags entirely. Is there any way to include them automatically?
Any help or pointer would be really appreciated — this feature would make annotation organization much more powerful.

PS:
Even more confusing: there is a tags area at the bottom of each note (where related items and tags can be displayed), but the annotation tags are not transferred there, nor do they appear in the metadata of the created note.
I also tried using the Better Notes plugin, but I still can’t find any option to export or merge annotation tags into the combined note — only highlight colors are carried over.
Have I missed something? Or is there perhaps a hidden workaround, a setting, or a plugin update that enables this?

(But annotation tags are not transferred to the tags of a generated note, no. You can, however, filter attachments by annotation tag with the tag selector, and in Zotero 8 annotations will be shown and be filterable directly in the items list.)
