Microsoft Word Plugin - Word sees Zotero.dotm as active but no Zotero Tab Appears

Hi everyone,

I installed the main Zotero software twice, and both times I have not been able to get the "Zotero" tab to appear in my Microsoft Word.

I did the "Reinstall Microsoft Word Add-In" within Zotero, and it did not work.

I also followed the manual add-in install instructions on the Zotero website.

I checked the startup file and its filepath is C:\Users\XXXXXXXXXXX\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP

When I went to the startup folder, the Zotero.dotm file was already there. I replaced it just in case, but it didnt change anything. When I go to the "Add-Ins" option in the Word Options, I see that Zotero.dotm is listed under "Active Application Add-Ins" shown here:

Next I tried to see my Word Macro settings. My macro settings are blacked out, my administration has it locked on "Disable all macros except digitally signed macros". Would this prevent the Zotero tab from appearing?

I also reset Word's ribbon customizations, nothing changed.The only other Word add-in I have active is Acrobat PDFMaker Office.

Any help would be great Appreciated.

    Zotero.dotm is digitally signed, but your IT department likely needs to add the certificate to the Trusted Publisher list.
