Failure to insert footnote

I am using Zotero 7 and it has been working without a hitch until today. When I attempt to insert a footnote by going through all the steps, when I "insert" nothing happens. Does anyone have any ideas of how I "fix" the problem? I have restarted Zotero several times with no result. Jim Holsinger

What do you mean by "by going through all the steps"?

Can you provide a Debug ID for reproducing this?

All the steps of introducing a footnote. WHen I do so, no footnote is inserted. Jim

Right, but what steps? Remember that we can't see your screen, so we need you to say exactly what you're doing and what's happening.

2. Click Add/Edit citation
3. Enter book title
4. Left-click on title
5. Complete prefix and suffix
6. Press enter
7. Press enter on title
8. No footnote is entered in the document
