Using Zotero in Google Docs on a Chromebook, does it not work?
I've got the connector working, and the Zotero button is visible on the Google Docs menu. However, when I attempt to use it to enter a citation I get a warning box saying it cannot communicate with the Zotero desktop and I need to download that. However, I cannot find a ChromeOS version of the desktop app on the Zotero page -- and other searches have informed me that such does not exist. Is this apparent Catch 22 true? Is there no way to sync my Google Docs directly to my Zotero web account? If in fact there is, could someone explain it? Or is there some mysterious way of getting the desktop version onto Chrome, which is not obvious from looking at the download options on the Zotero site?
As always, advice is well appreciated. Thank you.

zzolicheThanks. But maybe I should have emphasized, I want to set it up on ChromeOS. Those instructions begin with putting it on Linux. For reasons too elaborate to expound here, I don't want to do that. I want to know if it's possible to get Zotero working, with Google Docs, specifically on the ChromeOS. But, again, thank you.

dstillmanThe desktop app exists for macOS, Windows, and Linux. If you want to install it on your Chromebook, you need to install the Linux app.

zzolicheGot it. But the question was: is there a way to get Google Docs to work off of the Zotero web library/account? But thanks again.
