Import a file (BibTex,...) Won't advance when I click next

When I try to import a file, I can select one of two options...Import a file or import Mendeley Reference Manager. If I select to import "A file" and click next, nothing happens. If I click the Mendeley option, the import window advances without issue. This also occurs when in troubleshooting mode. Is there a solve for this?

    Hi, what you described are the steps that I did. The problem is when I click next when import is open, nothing happens, so I don't believe you will 'see' anything. No windows explorer shows up. My work around for now is to use Zotero 6 which seems to work on my computer

    Something is preventing Zotero from initializing translators (at least for 15+ seconds), so all sorts of things will be broken, including Add Item by Identifier and PDF metadata retrieval.

    No errors are being logged, but you can try going to your Zotero data directory, deleting 'translators', and restarting Zotero. If that doesn't help, do that again and provide another Debug ID for the first restart after doing it.
