Zotero cannot deal with proxy access to Jstor etc.
Dear all,
my University offers access to sites like Jstor, Springerlink etc. only via an internal proxy, so that the URLs look like
https://www.myuu.nl/http://www.springerlink.com/content/q1j7651n41584r76/
It seems that Zotero cannot deal with those URLs: No Icon appears in the URL-bar, and I'm not able to capture resources from those sites. I guess that many researchers, at least in European Universities, have the same problems.
Is there already a solution to this problem?
Best regards
Micha

I'm not sure the easiest way to determine this, short of asking your University IT department, but it seems I've seen the name of the proxy on error pages returned by the proxy itself on occasion. Do try to find out the name and post it (perhaps with the name of your university as well). I'm not sure how solvable this problem is, but if there are solutions, they will probably come from trying to work with specific proxy software directly.
For some databases (Jstore, Project Muse, Wilson Plus), the icon does not appear in my address bar

However, with others, e.g. Proquest, I have no problems and the icon appears.
