Handling different bibliographies

Hi everyone

As I have read in previous discussions, Zotero cannot (yet?) handle different bibliographies in one document. The solution to that is to create different documents for each table and merge them at the end. So far, so good.

I have the following problem: As a lawyer, I need to cite a lot of case law for which I have created Zotero items and which are thus handled automatically. Case law, however, should not appear in the bibliography but, insofar it is even required, in a separate table. That's why the citation style I currently use fortunately disconnects the footnotes from the bibliography. Is it possible to modify the csl code so that the case law is integrated in to the bibliography in one Word document, but excluded in the other? I think I one the answer to this one; but as an intermediate in xml I wanted to make sure.

Thank you very much for your help.
  • You can sort sort the bibliography by item type -- e.g. sorting cases first or last -- and that's built into several legal citation styles such as OSCOLA or AGLC. You can then either split those up or delete the cases in the final version of the document for submission/publication
  • That's much easier than what I had in mind, thanks! I'll try that.
