Zotero issues with new Word install (v. 16.102)

Cannot insert citations with new Word install (v. 16.102). Have walked through all of the troubleshooting steps. Does not seem to be related to AWS outage (e.g., tried doing this with wifi turned off and got same error)

Does this happen in a new, empty document? Can you provide a Report ID?

Nothing to do with AWS, no. (Word integration is entirely local.)

If you copy some plain text from the document to the clipboard before trying to insert a citation or bibliography, does it still happen?

This error only appeared recently, and we originally thought it was due to a third-party clipboard manager interfering with the plugin. We've since been able to reproduce it reliably by copying from a Word comment before trying to insert a citation or bibliography, and it can be fixed by copying other text to the clipboard first. Copying from other sources to the clipboard may similarly cause the error.
