Upgrade StorageTrouble connecting Zotero to Koofr WebDAV (“405 Method Not Allowed”)
Hello everyone,
I’m trying to connect Zotero to my Koofr WebDAV storage, but I keep getting an error message when I click “Verify Server”:
Error: HTTP MKCOL https://app.koofr.net/dav/Zotero/
failed with status code 405: Method Not Allowed
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
Created a folder named Zotero (capital Z) at the root of my Koofr drive.
Verified my Koofr account and created an App Password under Preferences → Security → App passwords.
Used the following settings in Zotero → Preferences → Sync → File Syncing:
URL: https://app.koofr.net/dav/Zotero/
Username: my Koofr email
Password: my Koofr App password
Tested the WebDAV URL in a browser; it prompts for login correctly.
Tried both home and university networks (no VPN).
However, the error persists, and Zotero cannot verify the server.
It seems Zotero can reach Koofr but fails to create or access the Zotero directory (MKCOL not allowed).
Could anyone please advise whether this issue is related to Koofr’s WebDAV permissions or Zotero’s handling of MKCOL requests?
Has anyone recently managed to connect Koofr successfully?
