Upgrade StorageiOS/iPad PDF highlighting highlights other regions in addition to the selected ones
On some PDFs (often ---but not always?--- generated by "printing" from Firefox or Google Chrome browsers), sometimes highlighting some words/sentences leads to other distant lines being highlighted. None of this happens to me using the PDF reader in Zotero for Linux.
- Zotero version on iPad: 2.0.0 Build 398.
- iOS version: 18.7.1.
- Zotero version on Linux, where this problem does not happen: 8.0-beta.13+d1f478fc4 (64-bit).
I am sending a PDF as an example to support@zotero.org.
Three examples on that PDF:
- p. 3, item list "Governance", last line: highlighting "actually steer", specifically as we cross the space between "actually" and "steer" (either forwards or backwards) leads to highlighting lines on top of the page ("developing AI systems (...)" on the item list "Capabilities").
- p. 7: if I try to highlight "shard theory" (last two words on third line in 4th paragraph from top), starting on "shard" and moving right (or from the period in that sentence, and moving up, i.e., backwards), as soon as I hit the comma at the end of word "theory", several lines below (starting with "AutoGPT attempt..." and going all the way to the bottom of the page) are highlighted.
- p. 8, footnote [5]: if I highlight over "paper Risks" (2nd line), as I cross the space between "paper" and "Risks" three lines above (on the entry with "Anthropic") are highlighted.
