incorrect APA format

Hi, I'm writing a journal article for a class and my professor flagged several of the references generated in APA format as incorrect. I verified the citations and found formatting inconsistencies in author lists, capitalization of article names, and weird journal naming (e.g. names like "Journal: The Official Journal of Blah Blah").

Please advise if this is a known issue or if a patch is planned. The number one reason I use Zotero for is accurate citation formatting and the current output does not meet APA 7th edition standards.

Thanks.
  • I'm sorry to hear you had issues.
It's currently not clear what the exact issues are that you were facing. Can you be more explicit with concrete examples?

Note though, that as a user you're ultimately always responsible for the correct data entry in Zotero. Errors can happen for a variety of issues, be it a wrong database you import from via ISBN/DOI..., a website with bad metadata, an error in a translator, a user entering data manually and into the wrong fields or wrong, a wrong citation style. Therefore, you always need to check for yourself.
  • It sounds like these are date entry issues, not anything to do with the programming of the APA style.
