Storage full error but 0 MB used in settings

Relatively new Zotero user here – I can no longer add any pdfs to my library and have received the error on the Zotero app (Mac): "You have reached your Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded. Other Zotero data will continue to sync to the server. See your zotero.org account settings for additional storage options."

When I go to my account, it says 0 MB/300MB has been used. Is there a limit on how many files I can store using Zotero locally that does not get displayed with my account information?
