Report ID: 336622567
When I add citations and a bibliography in Word from the Zotero tab, the citation is inconsistent and incorrect.
Main issues are:
1. The authors and date are sometimes not detected. This results in the in-text citation (in APA 7th ed. citation format) being the full title of the paper instead of the author's last name. This issue happened a few times from Science Direct, SemanticScholar and SpringerNature Link sources, but those same sources had papers that were cited correctly too.

2. In the IEEE format, this problem presents as follows (this is feedback I got on an assignment):
- Journal titles are not italicized (e.g., [1]: Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology should be italicized in IEEE), and some entries use full titles (e.g., [32]: Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences), mixing APA-like conventions.
- Inconsistent use of “et al.”: [1], [18], [22], [28], [29], [33], [34], [35] use “et al.” in the reference list, while others list all authors (e.g., [4], [12]), deviating from IEEE’s preference to list all authors or use “et al.” for 6+ authors.
