Synch error report but synch seems to be working

For the past few weeks whenever I try to synch my desktop Zotero I get the following error message:

"[JavaScript Error: "A file sync error occurred. Please try syncing again.

If you receive this message repeatedly, restart Zotero and/or your computer and try again. If you continue to receive the message, submit an error report and post the Report ID to a new thread in the Zotero Forums." {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/storage/zfs.js" line: 203}]

Report ID: 2115193365"

But when I check my on-line library, all recent entries do appear to be synched.

I am running Zotero 7.0.16 (64-bit) on a Windows desktop

  • [JavaScript Error: "Could not remove the non-empty directory at C:\Users\[…]\Zotero Data Drive C\storage\X6SCH99B.
This is a file-sync error, so it's about attachment files, not library data. You would be missing some local attachment files.

Start by installing Zotero 7.0.24 from the download page. (The version you're on, 7.0.16, won't currently auto-updating to the latest version.) If the problem persists, this could be due to security software on your system preventing Zotero from deleting files within its data directory, or there could be something unusual about your data directory. (Is that "Zotero Data Drive C" a standard folder? Have you symlinked anything?)
  • Updating to the latest version fixed the problem. Thanks!
