The files added from my desktop Zotero are not syncing to my iPad Zotero.

The problem is exactly as stated in the title. I subscribed to Zotero specifically so I could take notes and use it across devices, but the files aren’t syncing to my iPad. Even papers I added weeks or months ago aren’t showing up on the iPad. I really need to fix this issue—otherwise, there’s no point in paying for a Zotero subscription. I’d really appreciate your help.
