I tried to add citation into a template provided by my university. However the following error occurs: "Zotero experienced an error updating your document" (translated).
i tried following the debugging an corrupted document, however none of the steps seem to work.
I restarted both progams, i updated both programs, etc. The only steps i m not able to do bc it s kind of a locked template is: "7. Try copying and pasting the document content into a new document to see if the problem goes away. You may need to click the “Set Document Preferences” button before your old citations will be recognized."
Even if the document is completely empty (read: no added text from me, only what was there to begin with), i can not add a citation into the fields in which i am supposed to add them.
Any ideas how to solve this?

lottafischerUpdate: It s a text box. The only way i found around it was to copy the text into an empty word, use zotero and then copy the text WITH citations back into the textbox. not a "nice" way to solve but the only way i found.
