Is the "report" item type appropriate for a paper folder full of letters.

I want to cite a paper folder from an archive, that is full of correspondence relevant to my work. What I'm trying to say is "if you go look at this folder you'll see lots of letters that establish a relationship between these two people" (the contents of the letters isn't important at all). From looking in the documentation, it seems that "report" is the most suitable item type for this purpose. It this correct, or are there better alternatives?
  • Report will probably work fine for your use case
  • CSL -- the language that defines the citation styles used by Zotero -- has the item type "collection" which would be the most suitable. You can designate an item of any Zotero item type as a collection for citation purposeby putting Type: collection into the Extra field.
Only few citation styles include proper handling of collections, but Chicago Manual and MHRA, which would be the most likely ones for historians to use, are among them.
  • Thank you, @adamsmith. I applied your solution, and it produces a more appropriate citation.
