Ability to link from Google Doc back to the document in the full version of Zotero

Hey all,

I recently began using Zotero Connector to cite documents in Google Docs. I would like to be able to insert a "hyperlink" into Google Docs that, when clicked, opens up the full document in my Zotero app.

I've seen how citations generated by Zotero Connector can be edited in Zotero--quite powerfully with the Classic Mode of the connector it appears--but this is not what I want. I'd like to have the document open as if I clicked on it in the desktop app, so I can read and interact with it fully.

Is there a way to do this that I simply don't know about? I've spent some time searching for extensions to create the functionality, but it doesn't seem like any exist.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

There's no one-click way to do this, but using the default citation dialog, you can click Add/Edit Citation, click the item bubble, and then click Open in My Library. We might offer a quicker way to do this in the future.

(Note that you don't need to use the classic mode to edit citations. You can edit citations directly in the document if you really need to. But in the vast majority of cases, you should simply customize the citation rather than editing it manually.)
