Error trying to insert citation into Word doc

An error message pops up each time I try to add a citation saying, "Zotero experienced an error updating your document. Would you like to view troubleshooting instructions?" I have said 'yes' and went through each step for a Word doc. It didn't fix it. I have only just noticed after not using Zotero for about a year that it started doing this. I have been using it since 2021. Help?

    If it works in a new document, the last step on the troubleshooting page will by definition isolate the problem. The page also says to provide a Report ID and share your OS and Word versions.
