Meta search tools

I am starting my thesis soon and have used Zotero throughout the past couple of years for citations and other documentary support in my papers.

Now I am looking for a tool, or a plug in to Zotero that will allow me to search the internet and return search engine like results that I can view and then populate directly into Zotero. If the plugin or tool was an extension of Zotero, that would be fine, but a separate tool that I could use to search and retrieve websites and pages would be fine as the end result would be stored in Zotero as it is now... Does anyoen know fo such a tool/plugin?

    I don't understand - the whole point of Zotero is that it integrates with your Firefox so you can browse and search the internet like you'd always do.
    What functionality _exactly_ do you need?
    And what type of search results are we talking about?
