Problem with initials of hyphenated given names
Report ID: 1683336870
I’ve noticed that Zotero does not handle correctly the initials of hyphenated given names.
For example, when an author’s name is:
Juan-Carlos Pérez-González
In the citation style it appears as:
Pérez-González, J.-C.
But it should correctly be:
Pérez-González, J.C.
This becomes a problem when working with many authors and hyphenated given names, since fixing them manually in the bibliography takes a lot of time.
Would it be possible for Zotero to automatically remove the hyphen between initials in styles that use abbreviated given names?
That way, any Juan-Carlos would be displayed as J.C. instead of "J.-C."
