Most of library lost after sync outage

I lost all but 15 of the oldest items in my enormous library after a sync attempt where the arrow just kept spinning and spinning. Is there any way to restore a version of my library from an earlier date (say, a week ago)? This library is for my book in progress and a number of papers and the loss would be devastating. Years of work.

This wouldn't have anything to do with a sync outage. Items are only removed due to explicit deletions.

There was a brief sync outage yesterday, but all the items in your book group library (if that's what you're referring to) were deleted on September 17th by another group member. People sometimes do this by mistake when trying to clear up space for themselves. If you email support@zotero.org, we can tell you who it was.

Any group member who hasn't yet synced or who has only synced these deletions within the last day or two can likely restore from an automatic backup and replace the online library with the restored version.
