Username/Password in Preferences
Hello:
A friend of mine needed to create a bibliography and since I LERV Zotero I wanted to show her how to download it, use it, and start creating bibliographies.
Once we downloaded the add-on in Firefox, I put my Zotero account information in the Preferences Sync area to show her the bibliographies I had been able to create. We then went ahead and signed her up for an account.
When I replaced my username and password with her new username/password Zotero couldn't seem to clear out my data and replace it with a the default Zotero settings (since she has not yet created any items in Zotero). It kept wanting to merge my data with her account and eventually I had to go through and delete all of my items from her library (I still have my data available).
I am a librarian at a college and would like to start pitching Zotero to our students, many who do not have computers and are reliant on the computers we have in the library.
I was wondering if there are any magic steps to take to clear out another users bibliography on a machine? Is it possible to clear out another user in the Preferences area and replace it with another person's account and get started in a new session (or pick up where you left off)?
Thanks in advance for your collective wisdom.
Take care.
