Opening a PDF jumps selection from Library entry to an "Addon Item" sub-menu

I can't find any discussions about what seems like a bug to me. If I double click to open a PDF in Zotero 7.0.24 on MacOS, when I return back to the Library screen, I see something like this, rather than the entry I clicked on.

This is particularly annoying if I want to use information from the PDF to update that entry, as I have to find it again.

Anyone know why this is happening?

Do you have the Ethereal Style plugin ?

Ah, yes. That was it! Good catch. Thanks.

It seems I mostly used it just for one feature it offered: the ability to "pin" some favorite collections to the top of the collections list. Know of any other plugins that do this?

First, try changing its Storage setting from Note to File. That may fix it.

Thanks. Actually, I just disabled almost all of the features in the plugin settings, since I don't use them, and the problem seems to have gone away...
