Why does the Zetero Connector download get interrupted on Microsoft Edge?

I'm encountering a ‘Download interrupted’ error whenever I attempt to install the Zotero Connector extension on my Microsoft Edge browser. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

    That would be some problem on your computer or with your internet connection. The Zotero Connector is just a standard Edge extension.

    You should try from a different network.
