Won't let me update existing citations or add bibliography

Running version 16.10 on Microsoft for Word and the new Zotero 7.0.24

After restarting both apps multiple times, I cannot update existing citations in Word as I normally would. Deleting my bibliography helped to be able to edit citations however now it won't let me add a bibliography again and gives me the same error message. "Zotero experienced an error updating your document". And then when I click on "Yes" for troubleshooting instructions it glitches and doesn't take me to any instructions.
