How to switch retrieve metadata of ebooks and PDFs from local file

I use the newest zotero beta8 to import epubs, Zotero will retrieve metadata from the local epub file when the system is offline. but, after connecting to internet, Zotero will retrieve metadata from internet, and the metadata may not incomplete, How to set to retrieve metadata from local file by default, and if the metadata is not good, i can switch to retrieve metadata from internet by hands

    Are you saying that the metadata in the EPUB (used when you're offline) is sometimes better than the metadata we get via ISBN (when you're online)? Could you give an example?
