Colon shortcut for adding page numbers in Classic View
In the past, when adding a citation in Classic View, it was easy to add page numbers using the colon (:) as a keyboard shortcut. Recently this no longer works, I just get a colon appear in the search bar:

The 'colon' shortcut is also not listed on the keyboard shortcut page (https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/keyboard_shortcuts). Though I see on that page that I can customise my shortcuts using a third party plugin, I tend to avoid those where possible.
I used to use the 'colon->page' shortcut hundreds of times a day sometimes. So I wanted to check I am not missing something.
- Is the colon really no longer a shortcut for inserting page numbers?
- Is there another shortcut I can use, without having to use a third party plugin?

2) You don't mean Classic View, which just had a form field for locators. You just mean the previous default citation dialog in Zotero 7 and earlier — the red bar. You're now using the Zotero 8 (beta) dialog.
3) We did support using a colon previously, but I'm not sure that was ever a documented method. We can look into adding support for that back, though I'm not sure how many people actually knew about it. I guess some people may have just tried it because they're used to that format from the citation style they usually use?
In any case, the documented method, which still works, is to type "p123" or "p.123".
We also previously supported entering a number without "p", but that no longer works in the Z8 dialog. If I recall, that was intentional in order to avoid ambiguity around search terms, but I'll confirm that.
We also now support locators other than pages in their short or long form (e.g., "chap4). See this comment for more details on the new functionality.
I am very happy to shift to using "p" instead, so for me there is little to gain from reinstating the colon shortcut (your point 3).
I realise now the information exists on the Documented Method page, but perhaps the "p" shortcut is one of those worth adding to the list on the shortcuts page: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/keyboard_shortcuts
