Images in child notes

Hi,
Some of my items are graphic novels and comics.
For each item, I create a child note with some informations, comments and so on. I include the cover image in the child note : both an URL and the image itself (imported with a "Copy-Paste" simple process).

The cover image is well imported and I can see it in my child note when freshly imported (copy-paste) - see screenshot 1. No trouble here.

But a few days later, some images in child notes disappeared. The border frame for the image appears, but not the image itself - see screenshot 2.

I don't understand what I have to do to make all images permanent in my child notes, as some are left and others not.
Does anyone have any clue about this behaviour ?

Is that on the same computer? Images in notes require file sync to move between devices

@smteinturs: And you're at your Zotero Storage quota, so additional files wouldn't be syncing. Zotero would be showing a warning about that in the toolbar on every sync.

Thanks a lot for your answer. Indeed, I am using different devices.
I've canceled my storage plan a few years ago but it will be a good opportunity to renew it :-)
