Hi, i experienced a problem with APA7 citations a few days ago and the citations had other names and dois did not exist . Can you tell me if there was a malware ?
I was citing the source and after turning correctly with APA citation style the titles were paraphrased . For example I had Vasquez de Flores and Benjamin Fort (2022) and in the citation was only Vasquez de Flores ( 2023) . I checked the publication and although I had cited the 2022 edition in the in text it had the 2023 in bibliography as a year with the same author . Also it’s doi was inactive and it was redirecting me to other websites irrelevant with the publication
We'd need to seem some examples here -- most likely this is an issue with either citing multiple versions of the same item or with incorrect metadata in Zotero.
(And for your question, I don't think there's any malware that creates slightly wrong citations with Zotero, no.)
