Problem with Word plugin: plain text bibliography instead of formatted references

Hi everyone,

For the past couple of months, I’ve noticed an issue when generating a bibliography in MS Word from existing citations. Zotero outputs the references with incorrect formatting—the alignment is off, and titles are not italicized, just appearing as plain text.

Interestingly, when I generate the same bibliography directly from Zotero (by copying to clipboard), the formatting comes out fine.

This seems like a serious issue because not being able to produce a properly formatted bibliography in one click makes the Word integration much less useful. Has anyone else experienced this, or is there a workaround?

The bibliography produced by the plugin uses the "Bibliography" text style in Word. If the style was modified by you or someone else, then the bibliography will be formatted incorrectly. You can reset the Bibliography style by changing your citation style in Zotero document preferences.
