Storage of pdfs and syncing issues
Hi team,
I have 2 questions that I’ve been unable to find answers for online.
1) I pay for Zotero to store unlimited PDFs. My issue is trying to locate a folder in which all the PDFs for a particular collection in Zotero are kept. For instance, if I want to quickly copy/paste all the PDFs from the folder “scoping review” (image attached) how can I locate them all to drag/drop them into a software, say litmaps or research rabbit? Is there a way to do this easily without having to right click on each attachment > go to Finder (I use a Mac) > then copying and pasting them into a new folder? I have over 200 citations in some collections, so that’s just not feasible.
2) I have my “master” Zotero library on my Mac/desktop application. Each time I say “replace online library” and then login to the online library, there’s always at least a few references that haven’t been pushed through (e.g., it’ll go from 1,234 to 1,200 on the online library). What then happens is that my local application then displays 1,200 meaning I’ve lost 34 references! Is there something I'm doing wrong? Should I turn all syncing off before saying “replace online library?”
Any help much appreciated!

You can also select one or more attachments in Zotero and drag them out, either to the filesystem (which will always work) or to an app (which will work for some apps). You can construct a search that matches just attachments (e.g., "pdf" in All Fields & Tags mode in the search bar), click within the items list, and do a Select All to select just the matching attachments. 2) This sounds possibly like some sort of major misunderstanding. "Replace Online Library" is a specialized function for use after restoring from a local backup. It's absolutely not something you should ever be using in normal usage — as it says at the top of that pane, those functions are for "rare, specific situations". Can you explain why you're using it?
