"add/edit citation" only searches within one library at a time

Just upgraded to Z-7 from having used Z-5 for years. Now "add/edit citation" only searches within one library at a time. What a downgrade, I used to be able to pull in from any library (unlike when I search on Zotero itself). Please bring back this feature, I can't be reminding myself where I stored text A or B!

    No, this is some sort of confusion (and the thread you posted to was for an unrelated feature request).

    The citation dialogs in Zotero 7 haven't changed in this way. The default (red bar) dialog still searches across all libraries. It's possible you accidentally switched to the "classic" view from the Cite pane of the settings, which shows a view similar to the main Zotero window.

    If you think you're seeing something different, provide some screenshots.

    Yes! You are correct, the view setting was the culprit. The classic view was set by default after upgrading my version. I was able to switch back to the non -classic view. Problem solved!

    It definitely didn’t happen by default, but you might have changed it by accident while exploring the settings.

    If my actions triggered it, it was not inside of the settings menu. May have to do with everything being made through me terminal. Idk. It actually took some time before I opened settings and discovered the classic view setting.
