My sidebar UX suddenly in Chinese...?

This is weird. This sudden switch to a Chinese interface is unprompted by any change I knowingly made. It's consistent across all item types (articles, books) and doesn't seem to relate to the contents of the PDF file—one of these items is a public domain download from Google Books (published 1867) and the other's from U California P (2003). The other sidebar tabs (thumbnails and annotations) don't have any text so switching to them doesn't tell me anything about the scope of the issue.
