Save only PDF and not snapshot

I came across an old discussion (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/481924) about saving just the PDF from a website without capturing a snapshot. Some Zotero developers mentioned removing snapshot saving for sites that have PDFs. Has there been any progress on this? Currently, saving a PDF from ScienceDirect also saves a snapshot. In the meantime, what is the best way to prevent this from happening?

Attachment priority customization isn't yet available, but we try to avoid saving snapshots alongside full-text PDFs. I'm not sure why we're saving both on ScienceDirect. We'll change that.
