Zotero chrashes word

I have a big problem. Everytime when I try to change a citation, word is crashing. Restarted the programs, checked if it are the latest versions, restartet the PC - nothing helps. Its urgent.

    Crashing or freezing? If crashing, what exact version of Word? If freezing, how large (e.g., how many citations) is the document? Does it work in a new, empty document?

    It is crashing. Word (​Version 2019) is completly clossed down. Zotero is still open. The document is a thesis, so 393 different citations and not quite sure hwo much exactly.
