Conflict between the bibliography style in word and the style chosen in zotero

Hello,

I've just started using zotero and I've managed to generate a bibliography from my quotations, all adopted in a chosen style. However, I have modified the ‘bibliography’ style in Word to meet the standards expected for my work (change of font). Accidentally, I have changed the alignment to justified, which now prevents the style initially chosen by zotero from italicising the corresponding elements, such as the name of a scientific journal. After several attempts to update or change the style via zotero, no words in italics are displayed, as if the word style predominated over the zotero style. As I have not managed to solve this problem, I am looking forward to your solutions.

Thank you
  • You can reset the bibliography style by changing to a different style and back, but I'm guessing you might actually be seeing this:

  • Thank you for your answer !

I tested one of the solutions and adding a "fake" reference in the begining of my bibliography and from the zotero library solves the problem. However, i need to keep this reference until my work is finished because deleting this "fake" reference causes the problem to reappear. Am I right ?
  • Well, but in IEEE style that's not really a solution since that would mess with your numbering of references. Instead, I'd shorten the part of the first reference that's in italics in Zotero to avoid triggering the issue (and then add it back it in a copy of the document for submission)
  • Oh okay ! But you have to add it back directly in a copy of your document not in Zotero ? That's right ?
  • Yes. If you add it back in Zotero, you're back at square one
  • Okay, thank you very much for your help
