Report ID 1756214605
For about 3 weeks, the synch button has been spinning without stopping for hours on end, and there has been no error message. (My Database is 15 GB, but it's not as if I've recently uploaded very large files). My Database is local on my machine (Windows 11, SSD). I have checked for updates, and have the latest version of Zotero.
I have tried various things, such as unlinking and relinking the database, but nothing helped.
This morning, I saw that the spinning had stopped, and I thought the problem was resolved, but then I saw the red exclamation point, and got the Report ID.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks

Can you provide a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) for a sync attempt that results in an error, or an hour of spinning, whichever happens sooner?
We recently had to make some changes to how file syncs are transferred, and that has made large uploads on slower connections a bit less reliable.
This was a small file (360 KB) that I inserted. Spinning went on for 10 or so minutes, and is still going.
My internet speed is fine - this has been happening from work and home (same machine).
We'll investigate.
When I restarted, I did a mouse-over, which gave a pop-up that reported "1 file remaining". After a few seconds, that changed to "Stopping...", but that's been going for about 5 mins, and it's still turning.
(If that large file is causing problems, I can delete the file - it's not absolutely essential)
The spinning stopped. So, I re-started, just to make sure. It did the usual spinning for checking, and then stopped properly.
I did a manual check (by clicking on it) just to be sure, and it checked and then stopped properly.
I added another citation, it synced and then stopped properly,
I'll keep an eye on it, but I think you've done it. Well done, and thanks very much.
