Cannot successfully attach file to record

As reported in error report 1407155597:

Zotero version 2.0.3 on WinXP and Ubuntu 10.4. FireFox 3.6 on both OSs

Attach file to an entry in Zotero database appears to work (file icon appears in tree under the record), but does not (attempting to open the attached file gets error, see below).

When attempting to open a file that appears to have been attached, error appears:

"The attached file could not be found. It may have been moved or deleted outside of Zotero."

After locating the file through buttons on this error dialog, no changes in program behaviour.
