Chrome Extension stopped working with Google Scholar

Hello,

While adding articles from Google Scholar successfully using the Chrome extension for about 10 minutes, it suddenly stopped working. I am able to select the extension icon and the pop-up window opens normally, prompting me to "Select which items you’d like to add to your library." I select the article and click "OK." It thinks for a second and then gives the following error message:

An error occurred while saving this item. See Troubleshooting Translator Issues for more information.

I have tried everything listed on the Troubleshooting Translator Issues page with no success. I have restarted my computer, checked for updates, reset the Translators... I've tried to save a different article in case it was having issues with characters.

I found the Chrome extension's debugging options and reported the error to the system. It returned this reference number: 307985030. And the following log info:

Info: Service worker starts: 2025-07-22 10:41:04

[JavaScript Error: "Error: 1 row(s) failed to translate
at scrapeMany (Google%20Scholar:196:9)
at async doWeb (Google%20Scholar:163:3)"]

[JavaScript Error: "Error: 1 row(s) failed to translate
at scrapeMany (Google%20Scholar:196:9)
at async doWeb (Google%20Scholar:163:3)" {file: "[object Object]"}]

The Chrome extension does work with other sites besides Google Scholar, but I use Google Scholar so much that I need to find a cure for this ailment.

Does anyone have suggestions for how to fix this? Much appreciated!!
Michael
