Upgrade StorageError processing uploaded data (Zotero 2.0.3)

I have been having trouble synchronising my data base between my desktop computer and the Zotero server for several days now, but I hoped that the new version of Zotero would solve those problems for me. However, on attempting a synchronization, I got the message 'Error Processing Uploaded Data' - report id is given above.
I have had no problem synchronizing between my laptop and the Zotero server, but the synchronization between the desktop and the server has been so poor that when I place the mouse pointer over the sync button, I get a message to the effect that the database has not yet been synced!
Any suggestions for a solution would be most welcome.

I have disabled the other extensions, and attempted a sync exercise as before. This time I got a failure with the message 'Empty response from server. Please try again in a few minutes'. The report ID is given at the top of this message.
