I permantly deleted some articles. Didnt realise it deletes those from all sub folders. How can i recover?

You can restore them from your Zotero trash/bin.
Note the difference between Move Item to Bin/Trash (presumably what you did; or just pressed the Delete key*) and Remove Item From Collection. In the latter case, the item remains in your Library and any other collections to which it belongs.
