storage directory is not deleted when a snapshot is deleted

If I add a bibliographic item using the button on the web address bar, often a snapshot is added automatically to the entry. Since I don't want to store snapshots (just DOIs and URLs) I routinely delete this, but I have noticed that the sub-directory of storage/ appears to remain intact.
I am running Zotero 2.0.2. I don't think this happened under Zotero 1.x

    It gets deleted once you empty your trash in Zotero (I believe the trash might be a 2.0 feature).
    Also, you can turn off the automatic snapshot in the general tab of the Zotero preferences.

    Thanks, thats the information I needed.
    I just tried to empty trash and quite a few of the storage directories have gone. However, a zotero error was generated (prompting a request to restart Firefox), and when I did that, there were still quite a few entries in Trash.
    I went through the error reporting process, this is the number I got : 1640974262.
