Duplicate detection in sub-library?

edited 2 days ago
Is there a way to get Zotero to detect duplicates in a sub-library? So, not in the total My Library collection?

I often edit projects for colleagues, and don't always have access to the original library. So, I'll use AnyStyle to parse them out and import the bib file.
It's not unusual to find the same paper cited twice with different citation numbers or slight typos in the title or author name. (I don't know how they do it either, but they do. My guess is they have duplicates in *their* library and aren't careful enough when inserting citations, or they're doing it with EndNote or something else)

I'd like to be able to see, at a glance, when there are duplicates in those sub-libraries and not have to merge across my whole library.

Is that possible?

  • Check out Zoplicate. Maybe it can help
  • Thanks, but Zoplicate doesn't quite do it -- it still compares with My Library rather than limiting to just the sublibrary, unless I'm missing something
