Upgrade StorageZotero doesn't open

Zotero doesn't open anymore on my PC since this morning. I tried to uninstall and install a version that I just downloaded, but it is not working. However, I uninstalled it without deleting the personal data and customization, as I'm working on a thesis and I'm afraid to lose the citations and biography. Can that happen? Should I try to delete the personal data anyways? Is there another possible solution to this?
