[Ubuntu] Ibid does not work

First: Thanks to all who makes Zotero! This is the most amazing program I've come across since I used BibTec years ago! The web based solution is really a software innovation that will pave its way! It's the end of Endnote.

So, I installed Zotero on Ubuntu and OpenOffice just a week ago (all the latest versions). It works fine, and if there are some minor glitches here and there, I've found solutions here on the discussions.

Except one problem: I cannot get "ibid" to work.

Example: «Test (Malinowski 1967) test (Malinowski 1967) test»

I found several people here on the forum who want to turn off the "ibid"-function, but no one who needs to turn it on! I've tried all the possible preferences I can find. Am I loosing out on something very elementary here? Help appreciated!

  • ibid depends on the style you use.
There aren't a lot of in text style with ibid.
  • hmm, did not know it was that unusual. Tried all the standard stiles i Zotero now. Only found one with "ibid", and then only in a style with notes, none with (Author Date). Any one who know of a style with this convention:

    «Test (Malinowski 1967) test (ibid.) test»

... and if it might be downloaded?

    best,
    Lars
  • it's easy enough to do - are you working with any style in particular?
