Problems keeping several open PDFs in RAM
I always keep the same seven PDFs open in the Zotero editor, and I would like to switch from each one to any of the others, fast.
It seems Zotero can keep in RAM only five of them, the most recently visited, and reloads from disk when I select any of the other two.
I went into Config Editor and changed the value of most preferences with 'memory' or 'cache' in their names, to absurdly high values, and restarted Zotero. Nothing changed.
The machine has gigabytes of free RAM.
How can I fix this?

The in-memory tab limit is hard-coded, but in a future update we're going to be making some changes to better respond to system memory conditions — keeping more PDFs in memory when the system has memory to spare and purging loaded tabs when the system is under memory pressure.
I saw this problem was discussed some time ago in these forums. Let's hope a resolution is forthcoming.
