Upgrade StorageFeature Request: Translation Option for Selected Text in PDF Reader
Dear Zotero Team,
As a long-time user of Zotero, I greatly appreciate the functionality of the built-in PDF reader. However, as a researcher who frequently works with academic texts in foreign languages, I would like to request a feature that would significantly improve my workflow.
Specifically, I am requesting the addition of an option to translate selected text directly within the PDF reader—ideally via right-click or a keyboard shortcut. Integration with a translation service (such as DeepL, Google Translate, or similar) would be extremely helpful, especially for multilingual researchers and students.
Even offering this feature as an optional plugin would greatly enhance Zotero’s accessibility and usability.
