Upgrading Storage

I tried to upgrade my storage since nothing is syncing and says I have full storage even though Zotero says I have nothing in my storage. Regardless, I thought I paid for it but the application wasn't updating. Is this something I have to confirm through my email? Why wouldn't it automatically upgrade storage in the application?
