Filtering articles by institution

All

How does one search for an article by the author's institution? That is, how can I filter my library to show all papers from say, Carnegie Mellon?

I added a paper from a group at MIT a while ago and I having trouble finding it as I've forgotten the title and author.

Thanks for assistance.

    There are no fields in the Journal Article item type to record the individual authors' institution(s). Only for single author item types like theses and a few others (eg Report).

    But there are several ways you can manually record research group information that is searchable:
    1. Put it in the Extra field (maybe best avoided, as it's used for other things).
    2. Add a child note to the item, with a single line naming the research group.

    You could also create an Advanced/Saved Search for:
    (a) named members/authors from the research group;
    (b) the Extra field/Child Note contents if that's where you saved the research group's name;
    (c) Attachment Content contains "centre/lab/institution name", if the research group name usually appears in their (PDF) attachment files.
  • Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.
